Overview
Digi1776, a fast-growing digital marketing agency, needed a website that matched the clarity and confidence of the services they offer. I collaborated with their team to redesign their website using a premium WordPress template, enhanced with strategic customizations to improve structure, performance, and conversion.
My Role
UX/UI Designer & WordPress Frontend Developer
I led the design direction, user flow improvements, and implemented a custom-styled WordPress site using a flexible template framework. I also worked on content layout, mobile responsiveness, and lead generation features.
Problem Statement
The original website looked outdated, had an inconsistent structure, and failed to guide visitors toward conversion. Users couldn’t easily understand the services, trust the brand, or take action. The bounce rate was above 58%, and form submissions were low despite steady traffic from ad campaigns.
Research & Insights
Reviewed competitor agency websites to benchmark design and structure
Analyzed Google Analytics and Hotjar to identify user behavior gaps
Discovered:
- Users were unsure what Digi1776 did within the first 10 seconds
- Key CTAs were missing or too far down the page
- Mobile responsiveness issues across several sections
- No consistent brand personality in the UI
Solution
- Selected a flexible and modern WordPress template as a base
- Customized layout, colors, and typography to align with Digi1776’s brand identity
- Created a homepage that clearly communicates their value proposition in under 5 seconds
- Reorganized service pages to be more focused: problem → service → result → CTA
- Added client testimonials, case study highlights, and partner logos for social proof
- Improved mobile navigation and built custom sections using ACF and CSS where the template fell short
- Installed form tracking and exit-intent lead capture popup
Tools & Tech Used
Figma, WordPress (template-based), ACF Pro, Elementor, CSS/JS, Google Analytics, Hotjar
Results & Impact
- Bounce rate reduced from 58% to 32%
- Lead form submissions increased by 65% in the first month
- Time on site doubled, from 1.2 min to 2.8 min
- Website performance improved, with mobile and desktop both scoring above 90 on Lighthouse
- Client feedback was overwhelmingly positive, especially on the visual clarity and professional feel
Before & After
Before:
- Outdated look with poor content hierarchy
- No mobile optimization
- Weak call-to-action structure
After:
- Professional, modern layout
- Conversion-optimized homepage
- Responsive and clean on all devices
Key Takeaway
By combining the efficiency of a WordPress template with targeted UX and UI improvements, we created a high-performing site that not only looks great but also converts better. Digi1776 now has a website that reflects its expertise — fast, modern, and strategic.
